The Vo Rogue Plate is a Group 3 race for three-year-olds that takes place in December at Doomben racecourse in Brisbane, Queensland. The race is run over a distance of 1350 metres and worth $300,000 in prize money. The 2019 Vo Rogue Plate was won by Alligator Blood from Profit with Eleven Eleven third.
Previously a listed event, the Vo Rogue Plate was afforded Group 3 status in 2009 and is held on the same day as the Gr3 BJ McLachlan Stakes. It provides a good lead-up race for any three-year-olds heading to the Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival in early January.
In 2019 the Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) made changes to the Brisbane summer racing carnival with the Vo Rogue Plate receiving a prize money increase from $200,000 to $300,000.
The BRC also introduced a new $250,000 race at Eagle Farm called 'The Gateway', with the winner receiving a ballot-free exemption into the Stradbroke Handicap in June.
Racing Queensland expects the new summer carnival in December to complement the popular Brisbane winter carnival held in May & June.

The Vo Rogue Plate is a set weights race for three-year-olds and with the good prize money on offer tends to attract the better 3yo locals available at this time of the year. The set weight conditions of the race favours the better performed horses entered for the race and the classier gallopers generally come to the fore.
Any three-year-olds contesting the Vo Rogue Plate will most likely head towards the rich Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival in early January to tackle the Magic Millions 3yo Trophy at the same track, The last galloper to win the Vo Rogue Plate & Magic Millions 3yo Trophy double was Alligator Blood (2019), with Graceful Anna (2009) prior to that.
Alligator Blood (2019) captured the Listed Gold Edition Stakes over 1200m at Eagle Farm before proving too classy in this event for Sunshine Coast trainer David Vandyke.
