The Begonia Belle Stakes is a Group 3 race for mares that takes place each November at Flemington racecourse in Melbourne during Melbourne Cup week. The race is run over a distance of 1100 metres under set weights & penalties and worth $200,000 in prize money. The 2019 Begonia Belle Stakes was won by Tofane from Pippie with Miss Iano third.
Held on the same day as the Group 1 Victoria Derby, three days before the Group 1 Melbourne Cup during the four-day Melbourne Cup Carnival, the Begonia Belle Stakes was upgraded to Group 3 status for the 2013/2014 racing season. The latest edition of the race was named the Furphy Sprint', after being run as the 'Skip Sprint' and 'GH Mumm Stakes' in recent years.

The Begonia Belle Stakes is run down the Flemington 'straight course' and is a sprint event for mares only that typically assembles a big field of more than handy types, to make it a tough race for punters doing the form.
